Bicycle 101
Victors Cycle Club 471 William St WA 600 Perth
18:30 – 20:30
The "Bicycle Ride 101" can also be called "New Rider Maintenance Class" but we wanted to keep it fun and casual.
But in truth, this is serious material because it's really what you need to know to enjoy riding a bike safely and making the right decisions if things don't just go exactly as planned.
Just think of a puncture 5 kilometers away from home at night, or a squeeky chain.
The topics covered include:
Tire & Tube Service: how to fix a puncture
Chains: how to run it smooth
Rear Sprockets: cleaning (yeah it's a must, sorry about that)
Wheel Service: Wear, Damage, & Repair
Brake Systems: overview and setup
Frame & Fork: damage diagnostic
It is a 2 hours course and workshop, includes hands-on practice from the participants, in a relaxed environment.
